I had a mojito the other night and it was pretty tasteless, I dread to think what a more complex cocktail might taste like, our not taste like as the case may be.

Last evening, 6th of July, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining in the restaurant. The menu was difficult to choose from however with GOOD advise from staff we soon were thrilled to be part of exciting and well prepared cuisine. The night was made truly memorable by the helpful, friendly and happy staff. My second visit in two years, I will now be down more often to enjoy good food, good service in great surroundings. George

Hi A-J, Ben and all the other staff,
After a few days back in Perth we feel we need to thank you for a fantastic weeken away from home. We are a bit homesick cause we had such a great time. We even tried to replicate the breakfast dishes at home but without much succes. You have a great chef in your kitchen so look after him/her well. Hope to see you back during the summer period.

We came for lunch today with a party of 13. Our guests from Perth were very impressed with the food and especially the service as they realised that it is not usually table service. Our waiter definately helped us sit back and relax. Thanks for making our lunch a wonderful experience.

For the first time ever we decided to go out for Christmas lunch & I think now it will become a new family tradition thanks to the wonderful experience we had at Gnarabar.Everything was just perfect. The food & selection was great ,the staff were awesome & the little extras made it a truly relaxed & enjoyable day.We own an accommodation business in the area so,as you can imagine we are very busy at that time of year so it was just one very important thing that we didn't have to worry about.Thank you so much for making our Christmas..

Your take away menu states the Fish and Chips comes with salad, my wife has ordered this 4 times now and after the second order still not containing salad I started asking for it upon order and both times was assured that the meal would contain salad and neither did, as every time I'd already driven home I was not about to drive all the way back and then eat a cold meal, I'm very disappointed with your service in this regard especially being assured something which is on the menu and still not receiving it, this is false advertising and a rip off in my mind and I will not be ordering food from your establishment again.

Dear S/M:
I would like to apply for any Chef Position you advertised, I am actually in Perth.
My name is Miguel and I have 30 years experience in hospitality, both in Europe and in Australia. I am a very energetic and reliable employee.
My wide experience in the hospitality industry has given me a sound knowledge of correct food & beverage hygiene practices and safe working procedures besides strong leadership, problem solving and customer service skills. I also have an extensive knowledge of food, wines, spirits and cocktails.
The different positions I have held throughout the years have provided me the opportunity to train and supervise different staff and manage a team of people. One of the main roles I have been responsible for in the last years, as part of my Chef’s responsibilities has been to be in charge of purchasing and managing kitchen/restaurant inventories. I deal, on a daily basis, with various providers to always obtain the best products to the best possible value. My experience in Australia/Spain is quite wide.
My work at different Restaurants & Hotels in Spain, NSW, QLD, Victoria, NT and WA (actually in the Great Southern) have given me an extensive understanding of a great diversity of cuisines: Mediterranean, European, Italian, Mexican, Asian and Australian, with strong TAPAS knowledge .
I always strive to produce a high standard of food presentation, quality and creativity in the kitchen, paying special attention to the provision of a well balanced nutritional value.
Thank you very much for the time to read my application. I may be contacted at this e-mail address jmlobato@iinet.net.au or on my Mobile number: 0438 969 413.

I was a bit disappointed how I and my 18 month old son were treated before we had even ordered our meals with the rest of the family. Babies cry, and they can't just switch off because a waiter says "if you cant keep "it" quiet, you will have to leave as we are fully booked". You should really teach your waiter a lesson in discretion and basic manners.

I just wanted to say that your restaurant has exceptional service and the food was sensational. A very pleasant place to have an anniversary dinner. All the waitresses were very attentive and very friendly a rarity these days.

Last night my wife and I attempted to dine at Gnarabar. I wanted the steak from your restaurant menu and she wanted the curry from your bistro menu. We took a table in the Restaurant for this purpose. Unfortunately, upon enquiring the young fellow who seated us checked with the kitchen and advised us that our collective meal choices were just not possible to serve in the restaurant. At Gnarabar the strict rule is that one cannot take a bistro meal in the restaurant (notwithstanding that one of us wanted a restaurant meal). So all we could do was leave Gnarabup without eating anything and in disgust and amazement at the stupidity of the not negotiable dining 'rules' put in place by management. I will comment on this experience at Gnarabar in another forum, but you might like to consider if your strict dining rule that differentiates bistro meals from restaurant meals and dining locations in our particular circumstances last night is a constructive or desirable policy that will attract new or repeated custom. It certainly hasn't made for a pleasant holiday dining experiences!

Thankyou for a lovely evening. We have only been a couple of times to Gnarabar, but I think you have something very special there. The menu is fantastic, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful, it is both sophisticated and family friendly at the same time. I think that is a rare combination and you have nailed it. Awesome,. Well done. I hope you and Anthony are very proud of what you are doing and offering to the people of Margaret River as well as the tourists.
When you are ready to expand your empire, Cowaramup is ready and willing.
Thank you Aleasha , Anthony and staff.
Kindest regards
Deborah Earl

Hey AJ, Henrik & crew,
Just wanted to say thanks for having us last Sat for our 10 yr anniversary. We all had a total BALL...even the kids. Our Sydney guests commented on what a great vibe you've got going there and we just said "that's normal". And those berry cocktails...us gals had a few...were the best, freshest, most delish thing I have ever tasted! The food and service was top class as always and it made our night really special. Don't know how you do it...with a busy schedule of weddings and other restaurant goers there too. Anyway, kudos to you!
Regards
Nat Muir & Phil Jansen

Your website looks great. On the Menu side I would like to see more photo's of the dishes that you offer. Your prices are not in Dollars, 20.0 does not look like $20.00 it looks like how long it will take to eat or how many litres not a Dollar amount. That's my view anyway. I look forward to coming for a stay in the very near future.

I recently brought a group of 6 friends from Perth and Sydney for diinner at Gnarabar and we were all blown away! The service and food were 5 star yet done in a way that it was still very relaxed and casual... Just the way you want it when you're in Margaret River! I would highly recommend Gnarabar to all and sundry.
